REGINA AFROFEST IS TAKING A BREAK

This is not goodbye

2

We have decided to take a break for 2018. This has been a difficult decision to make.

Over the last four years, Regina AfroFest has been run entirely by volunteers. Unfortunately, many key members of the planning committee have re-located to other cities and countries. Needless to say, we’ve had an incredible journey, with each event growing bigger and better than we ever imagined!

In 2014, Regina AfroFest was created to showcase and promote Africa’s diverse cultures.

With immense support from the community, funding organizations, sponsorship from local businesses and backing from performers, festival vendors and selfless volunteers ―all of whom we cannot thank enough, Regina AfroFest quickly became an integral part of the summer festival line-up in Regina, Saskatchewan. This festival became something truly special that everyone involved should be very proud of!

These remain exciting times however, with captivating events such as the Saskatchewan African Fashion Show and the new African Pavillon currently in the works for Mosaic 2018. African culture is well represented and alive in beautiful Regina, Saskatchewan.

Thank you all so much for your support over the last four years.

There are some truly amazing people out there that we couldn’t even begin to list them all.

To all our supporters and especially our fans, many thanks for your unwavering support!

While there are currently no plans for another festival at this time, who knows what the future holds for Regina AfroFest…

Many thanks and much love!
