2014 Regina AfroFest

The inaugural event featured local and international performers, a marketplace and sponsor stands. The marketplace featured African food stands and vendors of African crafts and wares. Other attractions included Face Painting for kids and a beer garden.
The event kicked off at 11:30 AM with a marketplace type setup featuring vendors, sponsors and other non-profit organisations.
Stage performances included performers from the Kenyan Community in Regina, Oral Fuentes, the African Princess Dance Troupe from Saskatoon, Dr. Bird & Blue Beat from Regina, Coffieman, the ClearVox Band from Winnipeg, Amara Kanté and the Kouraba group from Montreal, and Njacko Backo from Toronto.
The event concluded with an After Party at Tumblers from 10:30 PM till late.

Drum Workshop

This drum workshop was an opportunity to have fun while learning to play African drums, all in good company! Joanne Crofford a seasoned facilitator brings positive vibes and helps participants develop their knowledge of African music and ethnic/folk instruments.
Burger & Beer Fundraiser

The very first AfroFest event was a fundraiser and it was a great success, thanks to the participation and support of our amazing sponsors and attendees. Good food! Good friends! Good times! Thanks for a wonderful evening and for taking us one step closer to the big event.
